StellarWindowUsers' GuideTime setting

The time and time flow speed applicable to StellarWindow can be set by clicking the eClockf icon located on the toolbar.

Observation time setting

When the date and time setting dialog is opened, the digital clock appears indicating the date and time (observation date and time) applicable to StellarWindow. The default date and time correspond to those set in the PC and are displayed in the gCurrent timeh field. The eyear,f emonth,f edate,f ehour,f eminutef and esecondf can be reset by clicking the triangle marks located in the right side of the individual items located in the gSetting changeh field or numeric data can be input directly using the keyboard. A Christian era year can be selected ranging from ancient times to far into the future. However, selecting a year significantly different from the current time results in: 1) inaccurate man-made satellite orbit calculations, 2) inaccurate planet orbit calculations and 3) inaccurate star location identification in this order. In the gTime flow speedh field, the time flow speed applicable to StellarWindow can be established ranging from e0xf to e9,999xf*1

Date and time setting dialog
The eyear,f emonth,f edate,f ehour,f eminutef and esecondf as well as the etime flow speedf can be specified by using the dialog shown above.

*1 e0xf speed
When setting the time flow speed at e0x,f time does not pass within StellarWindow and the rotational movement of the screen, reproducing diurnal motion as a result of the rotation of the earth, accordingly stops.
